Reset to Default
The Reset to Default function allows you to quickly restore BRC v3 to its original factory settings. This is useful if you have made many experimental changes and want to return to a clean, stable state without reinstalling the application.
What is Reset?
When you trigger a reset, the following application behaviors and limits will return to their default values:
- System Integration: "Start with Windows/Linux" and "Minimize to Tray" toggles.
- Automation: Auto-loading projects and auto-accepting jobs from the Blender addon.
- Network Server: Port settings, auto-start, and default security permissions.
- Watchdog Engine: Blender Auto-Recovery toggles, retry attempts, and recovery timeouts.
- Advanced Limits: Render history limit, log entry limits, and notification timeouts.
- Visual/Sound Alerts: Desktop notification window and audio alert settings.
What is PRESERVED?
To ensure you don't lose critical work or time spent configuring paths, the following data is NOT affected by a reset:
- Blender Installations: All your registered Blender paths and their custom names remain intact.
- Render History: The log of previously completed renders is preserved.
- Last Projects: The list of recently opened files is kept.
- First Access State: You won't see the welcome tutorials again if you've already completed them.
Confirmation Required
The "Reset to default" button is only clickable if your current settings differ from the factory defaults. Once clicked, the changes are applied instantly to the interface.
